Double Framed Sextant By Troughton

Solid brass double frame sextant Circa 1790 by famed English maker Edward Troughton (1765-1935). One of England's leading scientific and astronomical instrument makers. The frame is numbered 1472 dating it to about 1870. Fitted to a hinged wood box. Also has sales receipt from England in 1973.
