Nathaniel Herreshoff Builders Model of Junius Morgan Yacht

Extremely rare original yard model of a Nathaniel Greene Herreshoff designed vessel 255 drawn for Junius Morgan. The Herreshoff museum has records in their minutes of Junius Morgan and George Nichols discussing construction at the yard and as mentioned in Captains Nats diary. This is an amazing find to have a builders model of a Morgan family craft. The carved hull is painted gray over white. With original Herreshoff yard legend plate that reads Class R Grayling. Designed by N. G. Herreshoff. Built by Herreshoff MFG Co. L.O.A 42.80ft, L.W.L 27.04 FT, beam 7.75 FT, Drafts 5.95 ft. Grayling was project 966's at the yard. Builders model from the goat of yachting
