Rare French Marine Beacon by Barbier

Extremely rare solid brass marine beacon by Barbier, Benard, Turenne, Paris as engraved on the brass bars. Fitted with a door panel, hoisting handles, vented top, all meticulously polished. The US Lighthouse Service purchased these for use in the U.S.A. and applied the “lens lantern” tag. Condition small chips to lens and small dings to case as expected in 130 years of use. This is a holy grail of marine lighting.
