Rare nineteenth century solid brass yacht binnacle with gimballed compass marked with the maker's name Whyte Thomson Companies of 96 Hope St, Glasgow. Compass is polished and lacquered. The ornate base with six feet are pierced with mounting holes. Iron compensating balls are fitted to the pedestal base. Mushroom wood has winged door with glass window.
Overall Dimensions: 41" H x 22"L x 18"D. 63 pounds.
