Lignum Vitae mast head truck or "top" from the famous Schooner yacht "Dauntless". The imbedded brass pulleys are used to feed lines to raise pennants and signals. Dauntless was built in 1866 by Forsyth and Morcan at Mystic Bridge, Connecticut. Owned by James Gordon Bennet Jr. and Caldwell Hart Colt. She was a New York Yacht Club yacht. A unique, rare relic of yachting history. Circa 1866
