Unique asparagus dish by Minton. This dish was used aboard J. Pierpont Morgan's (1837-1913) private, personal steam yacht "Corsair" of 1890. Corsair was Flagship of the New York Yacht Club during the years Morgan was Commodore.
The dish is white porcelain with royal blue and gold trim accents and three horizontal wells. At the 12 o'clock a hand painted New York Yacht Club burgee is crossing staff with the Commodore's flag. Beneath the flags is a painted banner reading "Flagship".
Plate is 9 1/2" diameter.
