PRE-ORDER — ESTIMATED TO SHIP FROM AUGUST 15
Framed International Code of Signals Delta (D) maritime signal flag, professionally mounted within a shadow box display. Constructed of alternating yellow and blue linen panels, the flag retains its original canvas hoist, rope lanyard, and wooden toggle. Signal flags such as this formed part of the International Code of Signals, allowing naval and merchant vessels to communicate vital navigational and operational messages over long distances before the widespread use of radio.
When flown alone, the Delta (D) flag means "Keep clear of me; I am maneuvering with difficulty." It warns nearby vessels that the ship's ability to alter course is restricted, requiring others to maintain a safe distance. An iconic and historically significant maritime signal, this flag makes an excellent addition to any collection of naval or nautical memorabilia.
