Early twentieth century belaying pins from the famous yacht "Aloha", built for and owned by New York Yacht Club Commodore Arthur Curtiss James of Newport. The yacht was built at Fore River Shipyard in Quincy, Massachusetts, She also served the U.S. Navy 1917 to 1919. One of the pins has artwork on the handle with painted rope and Aloha 1910-1937. The second pin sets on a baseboard adorned with the New York Yacht Club burgee and Arthur Curtiss James private yacht flag. Both pins 20 long by 2 diameter each. 20" H x 2" Diameter.
