Rare Builders Half Model of the Herreshoff Yacht Avanti

Half model of the Sparkman & Stephens designed and Herreshoff–built 56.8 foot yawl Avanti. Built in Bristol, Rhode Island, in 1935. This is a builders half model with engraved nameplate. Built for Walter Rothschild, Chairman of Filene’s and Federated Department Stores.
