American ships compass binnacle with polished and lacquered hood. Iron compensating balls are mounted on brass brackets fitted with a gimballed compass that is also polished and lacquered. Brass binnacle head is mounted to a varnished wood base with hinged door. This is a first class unit. Exceptional condition.
