Steam Yacht "Aphrodite" c.1899

Exceptional model of the yacht Aphrodite. Intricately detailed model of the great industrialist Oliver Payne's private steam yacht Aphrodite. The vessel was built at Bath Iron Works in 1898 and carries the burgee of the New York Yacht Club. The model carries eight highly detailed launches. Fitted with three masts with standing and running cords. Mounted into a varnished mahogany display case with matching table. 65" long x 19" wide x 61" high with table.
