Chrome-plated searchlight from the Vanderbilt yacht Alva. Glass lens, protective bars, hinged head. Also fitted with a handle grip.
Provenance: From a grandson of William Vanderbilt's second wife Rosamund Lancaster Warburton.
Alva was a 264-foot steam yacht built in Kiel, Germany in 1930.
